Pep Band -
I enjoyed playing in pep band this year and have heard many positive things from my friends and the fans. I was very committed to pep band, I came to every single performance, whether it was required or not. I think that if I were to receive a grade, it should be an A. I showed up ready to play at every game, I played my best every time, and I took the time to learn the songs. I think that pep band is a huge part of being in Newark Band. Without pep band, we wouldn't have the exposure to playing in front of people. It also gets our name out there and more people will ask about us. It also gives us a fun break in the semesters to play some music we know. My top three pep band songs are wipe-out, crazy train, and best of queen. These songs are pretty well known and they get the crowd going. My bottom three pep band songs are I get around, seven nation, and 42 part 2. I wish we played the first line in 42, and the other songs I just don't enjoy playing. In the song wipe-out, I liked adding back the measures we crossed out before. I worked more on learning the notes and the rhythm for that song. If I could add any song to the pep band list, I would pick Low Rider by War.
